Message	the term then you run the risk of offending. You can say you don't mean to use it in a derogatory fashion, but it will be taken as such by some if you use it, so better to take the high road and avoid the whole morass, whether you agree with it or not. "Oriental" is also not PC. The preferred term is "Asian." I'm not interested in any discussions about why behavior and certain words need to be classified as PC or not these days.
